The Gospel Project for Kids

As a Children's Ministry Director, there is nothing better than finding material that you can trust. (Ok...I suppose if I was super spiritual I would say Jesus is the best...but seriously, good material is REALLY important!)

In the constant search for curriculum, lessons and materials that present the Gospel in a true, relevant and easy-to-prepare format, you know that when you find a good one, you're going to hang on to it!

The Gospel Project for Kids is one of those resources. We are in our second year using this program, and we love it. My leaders have commented how much they are learning week to week preparing lessons for their students, and we have all seen an improvement in the basic biblical knowledge of our kids over the past years. The emphasis on the unity of Scriptures, the single story of God's plan for salvation, has been a huge benefit to our students. The stories and lessons might be about different characters each week, but our kids know that each lesson connects back to that one unifying element.

It's laid out as a 3 year chronological study through the Bible, but that was a bit ambitious for us. We like to take a few weeks off at Christmas, ease things out over the summer and enjoy the odd Sunday with no Sunday School, so our goal is to make it through over 4 years, not 3. It's working well for us. Each lesson has a fun video that presents the main lesson for the week, and our small group teachers get the opportunity to build those all-important relationships and help bring the lesson home.

There are wonderful resources that come with it, including parent letters, weekly posters, fun Bible Story cards that have the picture and main point of each lesson, songs to help with Scripture memory, an app that families can follow along at home...the list goes on and on. I cannot recommend this resource highly enough. If you are looking for solid biblical content in an easy-to-use format that children and families love, look no further!
